My Tale’s Told

It’s cold outside. How. Cold. Is. It? Well, it’s so cold that the ice cream parlor is having a sidewalk sale. It’s so cold that the dog is too insulted to go outside. It’s so cold that a flasher walked up to me in the park and described himself. I’m in search of warmth, and I went to Etsy this week to find some. My only criteria was that the mittens had to be hand-knit–no repurposed stuff cut and sewn. Here are three of the warmest ideas I’ve seen in a long time:

New Year . . . New Start

Everybody has lots of new year’s resolutions, and the news websites are full of hints on how to go about keeping them. I have one, and it relates to this blog: I’m going to make every effort to post something new here every day. I’m overcome with admiration (and envy!) when I look around at several blogs I read regularly including Ohmidog! (well, John is a pro, right?), the BEST blog, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, and a new blog I’ve just begun reading called This Eclectic Life. Shelly, the owner, has a brilliant idea: Write about something good every Friday. I’m gonna try that. It’s better than eating a live frog before breakfast!
