Make My Own Rosary?
Yes, you can! And if you live in the Baltimore, Maryland area I’ll teach you how to do it, right here at Atelier-Beads. Whether you prefer an Anglican or traditional Catholic rosary, a beaded chotki, or the Lutheran or Unitarian-Universalist style, you’ll emerge from the 3-hour rosary making class with beautiful, meaningful prayer beads made by your own hands. Classes for two separate rosary styles are available. Class sizes are limited to no more than five students.

The Classes:
Hand Knotted Rosary Making Class:
Learn to make a beautiful wooden rosary hand-knotted on strong cotton cord. Your three-hour class includes all materials and supplies, plus a special tool to enable you to turn out perfect rosary knots every time. Your rosary or prayer beads will be made of bayong wood, a light hardwood. It will feature a plain Latin cross made of natural horn.
This class includes:
All materials: Enough bayong wood beads to make a rosary in your preferred style, a horn cross, sturdy cotton cord to make the rosary, and plenty of cotton cord to make practice and example knots.
A Special Knotting Tool: This simple tool is used to help create beautiful, symmetrical knots. It’s yours to take home.
A Manual: A clearly written, well illustrated manual covers everything we’ve learned in class.

Beaded Rosary Making Class:
Learn to make a beaded rosary or prayer beads in this comprehensive three-hour class. Your beaded rosary will be made of gemstone beads in a choice of several simple colors, and it will be finished with an American-made lead-free crucifix and medal or plain cross. (Your cross will differ from the one in this photograph).
This class includes:
All Materials: Enough gemstone beads and spacers in your choice of colorways to complete your rosary. Colorways are: Pale green (sesame jasper), Flame (Red Aventurine), Rose (Pink Aventurine). A lead-free cross or crucifix and medal
Supplies: Sturdy jeweler’s cable and crimp beads. Spacer Beads. Tape and incidentals.
A Manual: A clearly written, well illustrated manual covers everything we’ve learned in class.
Tools: You’ll need to purchase and bring your own crimp tool. I’ll provide information on what to get and where to get it.
